In the past CSS frameworks have dramatically changed the way we make CSS layouts. Layouts became modular and much more complex. What's hardly has changed until today is our toolset for creating these layouts.
Dirk Jesse is the developer of the CSS framework YAML. The successful release of the YAML Builder in 2007 was a proof of concept for framework-based visual layout creation. Thinkin' Tags is the intellectual child of a consistent development of this idea and it's now published in a public alpha release to show what's possible in the browser today and an idea of what will be in the future. And allthough, this first alpha release is mainly focussed on YAML, it's not limited to it.
We decided to release this public alpha version of Thinkin' Tags to show you what's our idea of browser-based prototyping CSS layouts and to get to know what you're thinking about it. So, please let us know what do you like, miss or need. And don't forget to have some fun, playing around in the app.

When creating some canvas experiments like a particle emission system or a game, gravity can be a key feature to implement. Figuring out how to implement gravity on an object in terms of coding can be a bit confusing. We’ll try to comprehend it, by putting it into code in a simplified manner. I liek simplicity!

The future of CSS gives us much to be excited about: On the one hand, there’s a whole range of new methods that are going to revolutionize the way we lay out pages on the web; on the other, there’s a new set of graphical effects that will allow on-the-fly filters and shaders. People love this stuff. Magazines and blogs are full of articles about them.

Tout le monde aime ce genre de nouveautés : les magazines et les blogs débordent d’articles à ce propos.
Socialite provides a very easy way to implement and activate a plethora of social sharing buttons — any time you wish. On document load, on article hover, on any event!
If you're selling your soul, you may as well do it asynchronously. Socialite won't cause document rendering to hang while waiting for 50kb of social media.

Imagine a namespace as a drawer in which you can put all kinds of things: a pencil, a ruler, a piece of paper and so forth. These are your belongings. Directly underneath your drawer is someone else’s, and he puts the same things in it. To avoid using each other’s items, you decide to label the drawers so it’s clear what belongs to whom.
Previously, developers had to use underscores in their classes, functions and constants to separate code bases. That’s equivalent to labeling each others belongings and putting them in one big drawer. Sure, it’s at least some kind of organization, but it’s very inefficient.

New CSS properties offer easy ways to lay out web pages. Thomas Lewis of Microsoft walks you through Grid Alignment, Flexible Box and Multi-column Layout
Laying out pages in CSS has always seemed a more complicated process than it needs to be. So here’s some great news: there are fresh specs that will make creating layouts a much simpler task for web designers.
The major browsers, with the help of bodies such as the W3C, are starting to provide standards and implementations for a variety of new layout options that we can begin using today. For example, the W3C currently considers CSS3 Multicolumn Layout Module a Candidate Recommendation. Basically this means it’s at the point where the W3C is comfortable with browsers implementing it as a feature.

Security is not a list of things you do. Security is a way of thinking, a way of looking at things, a way of dealing with the world that says “I don’t know how they’ll do it, but I know they’re going to try to screw me” and then, rather than dissolving into an existential funk, being proactive to prevent the problem.
But, you can’t buck statistics. Nobody is going to read an article entitled “Coding for Security.” Everyone wants an article with a number in it: “The 8 Most Common PHP Security Attacks and How to Avoid Them”, “23 Things Not to Say to a Super Model”, and “15 Reasons to Avoid Radiation Poisoning.” So, here goes, the “Top 10 PHP Security Vulnerabilities.”

Shwetank Dixit of Opera Software explains how to use localStorage to save data offline so that what a user types into the form isn’t lost if disaster strikes
How many times have you been in the middle of meticulously typing information inside a form and – BAM! – the browser crashed? I bet it’s happened a few times at least. And when it has, you’ve had to open the browser, go to the URL again and enter all that information one more time – hoping the browser doesn’t crash again a few minutes later.
Various things can and do go wrong every day when filling in online forms. The browser may crash, your internet connection can barf at the wrong moment (especially on dial-up or flaky Wi-Fi), or you could even accidentally close the page yourself (something I’ve been guilty of myself at times).

When you publish something online, there are not that many ways to determine whether people like what you have to say. Comments, the cornerstone of blogging, are too demanding, and users often prefer not to post one. If you’ve dropped by Behance, you’ve probably noticed their appreciate badge, which is a neat solution to this exact problem. With it people share their appreciation for somebody’s work.
Today we are implementing such a badge, which you can include in every page of your website with a bit of jQuery magic. So go ahead and download the zip from the button above (PSD included!) and continue with the tutorial.

Today I would like to talk about video. Maybe you’ve got own video website, maybe you’re thinking about it, but anyway I think that our new information will be useful for you. As you know, video usually means that you need to have a lot of space at your hosting. And it is true in case if you store video files at your own server. But, in order to avoid all these difficulties (video storing and conversion), you can try to work with 3-rd party video hostings. As example youtube (or vimeo). In our new tutorial I will tell you how you can create youtube cross-uploader for your website.
In order to achieve our idea we will use
YouTube API v2.0 – Browser-based Uploading. In the beginning, we should prepare our own access token key. OAuth will help us with it. Then, we will display a form, where user can enters the video details (like title, category, description and keywords). When we have sent this information, Youtube will return us temporary upload token and url. Once we get it – we can start upload of selected video file.
